Like many sailors from the 80s and 90s, our journey began well over 30 years ago as children growing up in an age without social media and the more modern distractions of today.
Sailing and Watersports was our families calling and fortunately we spent most of our lives either on the water or if not very close to it and as a child growing up boat building and marine life was solidly ingrained, with my Father either making fibreglass canoes or sailing his Flying 15 / Hobie Cat in his downtime - I was hooked and made it my goal to train and pursue a career in the Marine Industry.
In 2006, I left the sun scorched beaches and Resorts I had become so fond of running for MarkWarner for many years to join the company (Performance Sailcraft Europe - Laser) that made the boats I and so many had trusted, worked with and timelessly enjoyed until 2020 when I established ILCA Direct (Now Performance Sailcraft Europe).
30 years on, Performance Sailcraft is family owned and proudly manufactures the ILCA / Laser in our state of the art facility in Australia with the original moulds and tooling that built boats for the 2000 Olympics where Ben Ainslie won Gold and the tried, tested and unrivaled Pico, Bahia, Bug and Vago here in the United Kingdom.
