The Carbo "Ratcha-matic" is a load-sensing ratchet block that rolls freely in both directions under low loads but automatically engages the ratchet as loads increase. Shifting between the non ratchet & ratchet modes is seamless & the loading point at which this occurs is adjustable.

Provides a good balance between holding power & controlled easing.
